Undependence Day (by 4EH)
[CHORUS]
I don’t feel like doing a thing
Please don’t call me asking to hang
I’m so stressed I got no rest
so it’s my Undependence Day
[MEGA RAN]
Yesterday was awesome
Hot dogs hamburgers wings
I almost ate my way into a coffin
Took the kid to a water park and took precautions
But that didn’t stop the heat exhaustion
I invited everybody that we hate
They told me bout their lives, they dirtied all my plates
They even took my big piece of steak
Barely any leftovers this is a disgrace
And now I gotta spend today cleaning
Can’t even watch the game
Too tired to enjoy it and I got myself to blame
Enthusiasm scissored like I team with the acclaimed
hide my disappointment in my transition frames
But this is really lame
Had one too many brewskies
had to get the IPA when- I know what that does to me.
And now I’m really wishing for a run back or two
But go head and have fun - I love that for you
But-
[MC LARS]
Yesterday Independence Day was a hit
Not the holiday - the Twiztid album, I’ll admit
I mean it feels like yesterday, but it was 2007
Dropping like Armageddon as the Juggalos were getting
Collabs with The R.O.C., Bizarre from D12
DJ Clay, Hed PE, and even ICP themselves
Tech-a Nina, Krizz Kaliko, Prozak, and Blaze
I played it for Mike Russo, and my bro was amazed!
From Potluck to E-40 to the Dayton Family classic
DJ Quik was slick, and Layzie Bone’s verse was slappin’
And we can’t forget Proof who brought a new point of view
Cleaning up a beef was long overdue
But there was something wrong with the record that I noticed
With Schaffer, Frontalot, and Mega Ran, we felt demoted
And so now I’m feeling down, I won’t open up the door when
Homies come to visit ‘cause the album lacked the Horsemen
[SCHAFFER THE DARKLORD]
Yesterday, I had some fun in the rays
But today I’m done with the sun and slipping away
Into a cold, dark place ‘cause since I was a little babe
The 5th has only ever meant that summer break has hit its middle age
And I don’t want it to go, I never did as a kid
I’d try to make the time slow until September, I hid
Indoors, in denial, never acting cool
The second that the television started yelling “back to school”
The three worst words ever heard by a nerd
Who wanted to learn without the bruises and wrist burns
He incurred from the bullies and the bigger kids, hell, even the little kids
He only made it worse with his words
And every 7/5 since sends me back to the awfullest time
When I was terrified and crying on my Optimus Prime
Not like I love the beach or summer with friends
But for that inner younger me, I still don’t want it to end
[MC FRONTALOT]
Yesterday celebrated ditching an empire.
Birth of another one, though. 'Cause of then, fire
up on the grill any enemies approaching.
Bombs in the song when you sing of your devotion
to the red glare. We pass out rockets any when/where.
Waving on the flag until it's threadbare.
Don't have to get scared
but it helps when you gird yourself.
So begin there, march through the day,
bright up the night, sky-war cosplay,
landing on the couch of wherever you ended at.
And that's just where I wake up, as if intended as
some kind of cautionary anti-jingoistic
plan for the simplistic, called me panties-in-a-twistic.
Or I passed out, missed it.
Either way, I'll take today off, catch distance.

I don’t feel like doing a thing
Please don’t call me asking to hang
I’m so stressed I got no rest
so it’s my Undependence Day
