Everyone and their dog is trying to update their iPhone firmware today and mine won't do it, the connection keeps getting reset. ;; Could everyone just get off of iTunes for a minute, please? Thanks.

Me too! My baby daddy does iTunes support. Lucky sod had yesterday off. He's there now though, hahaha.

It finally worked. A few hours after I started. But, I was sitting at my computer at work anyway, so it wasn't so bad.

I like some of my new apps. I only got free ones so some of them suck... but Twitterific and the ones for MySpace and Facebook work well. I also like the free talking Spanish phrasebook. It is so basic, I don't think it has any words I don't already know, but it's just cool. I will get the German and French ones later maybe. Oh, and CheckWord tells me if words are valid in Scrabble. Nerd alert! But it was free, and I thought... you just never know when that will come in handy...

So my search for permanent employment continues (yesterday I had the odd experience of getting called in for an interview just MOMENTS after e-mailing my resume....someone was sitting at the computer hitting refresh!) That interview happened this morning followed by a a different interview this afternoon. They both went well - though I think I would prefer the second one if they both offered (higher pay and better hours, though no benefits - and it has a kewl name {SCIREX} ) Either way - I really hope to be permanently employed by friday, this temp stuff is wearing on me.

I hope you find something soon Moxy.

Work is kicking my ass this week. It feels good, though. I have been doing fuck all for, oh, 3 months...

Today is the last day of my temp job, I have no clients to see and my co-workers are taking me out to lunch (don't worry, I'll still be plenty hungry come sushi time!). I am holding my breath waiting for the phone to ring and a job offer be made! Everyone send me some extra good karma vibes!

Can I just say that house hunting sucks? Well, sucks when you're poor like me. :p I am just shy of the price range I'd love but can't afford... *sigh*

Those of you not in small Texas towns can go ahead and stop laughing at my inability to buy a 140k house. YES I know it's cheap... thank GOD I don't live in Long Beach anymore...

And since I am clearly in the mood to ramble to no one, It Never Rains in Southern California just came on iTunes and it makes me SAD because it reminds me of the finale of Veronica Mars. *sniff* I miss my smart, hot little female detective. Kristen Bell's character on Heroes is good and all, but she's no V. Mars!

My first trip to California was for work and it rained every single day that week.

I felt lied to.

Where in California did you go?

Also, TheBlueBird: I may not respond to everything posted to these forums, but I make it a point to read every single thing posted to this forum, in all its sections. So, you aren't rambling to no one. :)

Thanks, Yook. Although, now I feel the need to not say anything dumb since I know SOMEONE will read it! Which is worse?? ;)

Posted 7.23.08 :: 2:19PM :: An actual gild on her day off
1) wake up at noon, check e-mail
2) order a pizza (eat upon arrival, save leftovers for dinner)
3) watch special features for 2001: A Space Odessy
4) watch 12 Monkeys
5) consider going to a baby shower thrown by boyfriend's mother.
6) I'll let you know when I get there.

I had set some goals for myself a while ago. See, my boyfriend always ate fast food for dinner before we moved in together. His health has not been so great, so I took the reigns and made some rules. So far it has been going well.

Every day we eat PB&J together for lunch. I cook dinner 3 out of 5 nights during the week. I will bump that up to all 5 once I get used to it. Then at some point I guess the weekend too. But we tend to be out and about for that.

I think it is helping him feel better. It all started when we discovered that he is lactose intolerant just about a year ago. Since then it has been one experiment after another, but now I think we have managed to narrow it down.

So yeah, dunno why I went there. That has pretty much been the focus of my life for the past few weeks. I've been reading The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands and so I guess it inspired me to take better care of my darling.

Oh, my best friend got married. That was fun. I was so jealous though! >_<

Aaaahhhh, yes - lactose intolerance is very fun - I discovered it early in high school and life became much more pleasant for me and everyone around me after that....lactaid is my very special friend.
